What Are Vibrational Essences and How Can They Support You?


People often ask me whether I use the vibrational essences I create myself, and the answer is absolutely yes. I have worked with vibrational essences for many years, both personally and professionally, and they have become an important part of my own wellbeing practice. I use them alongside meditation, healing work, time in nature, sound healing and the simple daily rituals that help me stay grounded, balanced and connected.


Over the years, I have used essences for many different reasons. Sometimes they have supported me through periods of stress and change. At other times I have used them to deepen my meditation practice, support emotional wellbeing, aid recovery following illness or surgery, or help me shift energies and patterns that no longer serve me.

This is one of the reasons I love vibrational essences. They are incredibly versatile and can be used to support us through many different aspects of life.


More recently, I have found Calm Down and To the Rescue particularly supportive during menopause, when emotions can sometimes feel heightened and the nervous system can feel as though it is working overtime.


Calm Down is my everyday companion when life feels busy, overwhelming or emotionally demanding. To the Rescue is the essence I tend to reach for when something unexpected happens, when stress suddenly escalates or when I feel emotionally shaken by a situation. I often use the two together and have found them especially supportive during times when I need a little extra steadiness and resilience.


I also regularly use Focus & Study. Despite its name, it isn't just for students. As someone with an ADHD brain, I know what it feels like to have a mind filled with ideas, possibilities and distractions all competing for attention. When I need greater clarity, concentration and focus, this is often the essence I choose.


Whilst everyone's experience is unique, I have noticed both personally and through my work with clients that people are often drawn to the essence they need most at a particular point in their lives.


What Are Vibrational Essences?


Many people are familiar with Bach Flower Remedies, developed by Dr Edward Bach in the 1930s. Dr Bach believed that our emotional wellbeing plays an important role in our overall health and that nature offers gentle support when we lose our sense of balance.

My own vibrational essences are inspired by this tradition.


Created here in East Sussex, each essence is made using locally sourced spring water, carefully selected crystals and a process known as solarisation, where sunlight is used to transfer the energetic qualities of the crystal into the water.


Each essence carries a particular energetic quality or vibration. Some are created to support calm and emotional balance, others confidence, focus, resilience, grounding or spiritual connection.


How Can Vibrational Essences Support Us?


The way I describe vibrational essences is that they offer a gentle energetic reminder.

Life has a way of pulling us away from our natural state of balance. Stress, grief, emotional challenges, illness, change, trauma, busy lifestyles and everyday pressures can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.


At other times, we may feel as though we are carrying old emotions, experiences or patterns that are preventing us from moving forward with ease. Vibrational essences are designed to support the body, mind and spirit in reconnecting with qualities we may have temporarily lost touch with.


You might choose to use an essence:


• To support emotional wellbeing during stressful periods.

• To encourage calm and balance when feeling overwhelmed.

• To help shift old emotional patterns or energetic blocks.

• To support meditation, healing or spiritual practices.

• During periods of recovery following illness, surgery or emotional challenges.

• To cultivate qualities such as focus, confidence, resilience or self-compassion.


I often explain it as offering the body a vibrational reference point. The essence provides a gentle reminder of a particular quality or frequency until our own system is able to reconnect with that state more naturally.


In this way, the essence is not doing the healing for us. Rather, it is supporting and encouraging the body's own ability to find balance and harmony.


A Gentle Companion on Your Wellbeing Journey


For me, vibrational essences are there to support qualities that already exist within us. Whether that is calm, focus, confidence, resilience, balance or clarity, there are times in life when we can find it difficult to access these qualities for ourselves.


Vibrational essences offer a gentle reminder, helping us reconnect with a particular state or quality when we feel out of balance or disconnected from it. They can be used as a daily support, during periods of challenge or change, or as a longer-term companion whilst we develop our own capacity to reconnect with that quality more naturally.

Rather than doing the work for us, the essence acts as a guide, supporting the body, mind and spirit until we are able to find our own way back to balance. In this way, they become a gentle ally, encouraging us to listen more deeply to ourselves and discover what we need in order to support our own wellbeing.

Perhaps that is their greatest gift. Not that they change who we are, but that they help us reconnect with qualities that have always existed within us, whilst encouraging us to become the best friend we can be to ourselves.
